Some footage from a long ride of ours back in 2020. This really spiked my interest for long bike packing adventures, even though the weather wasn't ideal!

We weren't sure if we'd actually manage to make it from John O'Groats to Lands End cycling, especially as I'd walked the west highland way the week before. But, spoiler alert, we made it. We're very aware we took neither the shortest or the fastest route. We made some huge detours totalling 1570km and 17,000m elevation. That's 980 miles and 56,000ft if you need it in old money. We completed the route in just over 5 days unsupported.

We started in John O'Groats as the travel turned out easier that way round and ending up in Lands End was a lot of fun. Even though the traditional route goes the other way. Bike packing our way down carrying all our gear was a great way to see the country.

We had a lot of fun, there were some really low points, and it wasn't easy, but we pulled through in the end. Considering we decided to take on the challenge mid October, the weather was very, very friendly to us.
