In the last 15 years, Naughty Dog has learned many lessons developing its linear narrative driven games. This video analyzes the steps the company has made in advancing their level design, going from the fairly straight forward room-to-room gameplay of Drake's Fortune, to the larger open levels of Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us. Through clever use of helpful, and sometimes deceptive visual clues, Naughty Dog has mastered the ability to control your game experience, at times where you might not even be aware of it yourself.
