Throughout my childhood, the pinnacle of great television was Sunday nights on FOX. While my friends were into Nickelodeon and Disney, for me… nothing beat the combination of Futurama, King of the Hill, The Simpsons, and Malcolm in the Middle (plus X-Files, if you didn’t mind the nightmares that followed) served up by early 2000’s FOX.

In this video series, I look at how Sunday nights on FOX evolved over the years since the inception of the network (and even earlier than that). I’ll celebrate these awesome shows and look at the history behind them, so get ready for a hefty dose of nostalgia. Or, even if you aren’t already a fan of these shows, it’ll just be an educational look at an important era of television!

Besides just chronicling the past, I’ll try to answer the question: How and why did FOX’s Sunday night line-up become what it is today? And I’ll just have some fun sampling older shows that moved in and out of the Sunday night line-up over time. For example, did you know “21 Jump Street” was part of FOX’s original Sunday night slate? Well, this video series will give me an excuse to sit down, watch a few episodes, and tell you about them!

I’ll also be sampling some short-lived, more obscure sitcoms from the late 80’s like “Duet” and “Mr. President”. Basically… if it ever aired on a Sunday night on FOX, I’ll talk about it in this video series!

Give it a watch and drop your favorite FOX Sunday night memories in the comments!
