Your owner's manual is going to be your best resource for your car specifically and it's proper break in procedure, but in THIS VIDEO I mention some extra details that were not in my owner's manual, and may not be in yours either.

It is important to go fairly easy on your new car's engine for the first 500-1000 miles, depending on the vehicle and what is specified by the manufacturer. Once in a while, if you are buying a performance car, the salesman will go over this with you. Cases in which they don't.. well, refer to Youtube!
