It was the 1980s, long before the Ukraine Russia War. It was 1988 to be exact. One year before the West/East German Wall came down precipitating the fall of the Soviet Union. Some American men were searching for wives and Russian and Ukrainian women had a reputation for desiring American men and a reputation for being willing to marry them.

Companies like European Connections who made this video to show American men how they could date Ukrainian and Russian women created tours of Moscow and Kiev to allow American men to meet and potentially marry Russian and Ukrainian women and take them back to the USA.

These companies advertised that they carefully selected women based on beauty, intelligence, English-speaking and more.

This video takes portions of the 1988 documentary and also presents contemporary news specials from CBS 60 Minutes and UK broadcasts showing that these tours still go on and that surprisingly often, they are successful for the American men and for the Ukrainian any Russian women searching a husband who will in their words, treat them with kindness, romance, and loyalty.
