The history of Angkor Wat is an interesting story. Being built in such a short time, then abandoned for many years - and once again found amongst the thick jungle by travellers, Angkor has a history unlike many other famous buildings we recognize around the world.


Like many ancient buildings and monuments on the planet, we’re told these impressive structures were constructed at a specific time that aligns with the history books. But what if the true age of these structures is not what we're told - but in fact much much older? How would this change our understanding of humanity's past? Are we much older as a species due to the findings of how old these structures really are?


THis video dives into the origins of Angkor Wat. Answer questions such as, "How old is Angkor Wat? Who built Angkor Wat? How was Angkor Wat made? How old is Bayon Temple?" Along with a basic history of this religious monument to give proper context.


I believe it's important to ask questions and not accept anything at face value - because if the facts don't add up to the story we've been told, then who do we believe? What are historians hiding? My aim is to open your mind and challenge the current narrative, because those who create the history (His story) are always the victors and successors.


This leads to facts potentially being withheld and stories altered to save face, or to protect the truth from getting out. Just because something has been written down in a book does not make it fact, which is why it’s imperative to think for yourself and never stop learning.
I may be right or I may be wrong - but what I do feel is that things do not add up with the story of Angkor - and after visiting this absolutely incredible place, my perspective was forever altered. How did we as humans create such an enormous, beautifully thought out/constructed piece of art made from heavy stone? Why did we create such a structure all those years ago? Perhaps we will never truly know the answers...but I believe it's our duty as residents on this planet to find out the truth about our past.
