2018 is a great year for the Leaf because its first ground up redesign. The Leaf was one of the first mass produced electric cars to come to market, so when Nissan went back to the drawing board to redesign it they have learned a lot. This 2018 offers a range of about 150-miles, twice the range of the first Leaf. Its capable of a full charge at 240V in about 7 hours or a compatible quick charging station can charge up to about 80 miles in a half hour. The new EcoPedal allows driving with just one pedal, offering a combination of regenerative braking and regular braking enough to bring and hold the Leaf at a complete stop on grades of up to 30 degrees. The Leaf is also one of the more affordable electric cars compared to the more expensive Bolt or Model 3, which offer longer range, but with up to 150 miles that is good enough for most peoples daily driving needs, especially when your home is your gas station allowing you to fully charge overnight.
