This is a short video tour of the Cartoon/Fantasy Organization (C/FO, the first US Japanese Animation fan club) meeting at Studio A in Inglewood, CA in 1982. We met monthly, every 3rd Saturday and screened episodes of animated and live-action superhero shows from Japan, rented 16mm films and some rare animation from a collector’s film library. Later the same day I visited the “Cell-a-bration” festival at the Sherman Oaks Galleria. It was an annual fund raising event hosted by The International Animated Film Society –A.S.I.F.A. Hollywood to raise money for their animation scholarships and archive project. They had animation celebrities, voice actors performing live readings, artists doing sketch requests for guests, and actual production cells (inked and painted character drawings on clear cellulose sheets) from films, TV shows and commercials were sold. Sorry for the non-steady camera and poor sound.
