#ProphetMusa #Quran #BaniIsrael

Prophet stories are one of Allah’s soldiers. He uses it to strengthen the hearts of the believers.

Allah says about them: “And We relate to you all the stories of the prophets so that We strengthen your heart and keep
you steadfast.” [11:120]

Prophet Musa is:
- The most mentioned prophet in the Quran
- The most prophet which Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) can relate to

His story is full of lessons for people of all ages and backgrounds.
- To the one who is born during chaotic times
- To the one who is raised in a very rich household
- To the one who comes from a poor family
- To the one who fights against injustice
- To the one who commits a crime
- To the one who is all alone and isolated
- To the one who has negative influence from friends and family
- To the one whose best friend is the most righteous
- To the one who is single and seeks a righteous spouse
- To the one who is struggling to stay steadfast during times of trials and tribulations
- And especially to the one who has been oppressed with very little hope to get their rights back…
- And much much more things to relate to… this is a story that we need to know and contemplate about.

In the land of Egypt, thousands of years ago, there was a Pharaoh.

This Pharaoh was unlike any Pharaoh of the past… he was obsessed with himself, an arrogant narcissist who went as
far as claiming that he is a God.
- He used to say: “I am your lord the exalted” [ 79 : 24 ]

He went as far as enslaving, oppressing, and overworking a large segment of society
- These people were initially Muslim immigrants… they were Bani Israel who originally was from the land of Ash-sham… but then immigrated to Egypt during the time of Prophet Yusuf alayhe as-salaam…

Allah says about the birth of Prophet Musa:

[28 : 3] We narrate to you ˹O Prophet˺ part of the story of Moses and Pharaoh in truth for people who believe.
[28 : 4] Indeed, Pharaoh ˹arrogantly˺ elevated himself in the land and divided its people into ˹subservient˺ groups, one of
which he persecuted, slaughtering their sons and keeping their women. He was truly one of the corruptors.
[28 : 5] But it was Our Will to favour those who were oppressed in the land, making them models ˹of faith˺ as well as
successors;
[28 : 6] and to establish them in the land; and through them show Pharaoh, Hamân, and their soldiers ˹the fulfilment of˺
what they feared.
[28 : 7] We inspired the mother of Moses: “Nurse him, but when you fear for him, put him then into the river, and do not
fear or grieve. We will certainly return him to you, and make him one of the messengers.”
[28 : 8] And ˹it so happened that˺ Pharaoh’s people picked him up, only to become their enemy and source of grief. Surely
Pharaoh, Hamân, and their soldiers were sinful.
[28 : 9] Pharaoh’s wife said ˹to him˺, “˹This baby is˺ a source of joy for me and you. Do not kill him. Perhaps he may be
useful to us or we may adopt him as a son.” They were unaware ˹of what was to come˺.
[28 : 10] And the heart of Moses’ mother ached so much that she almost gave away his identity, had We not reassured
her heart in order for her to have faith ˹in Allah’s promise˺.
[28 : 11] And she said to his sister, “Keep track of him!” So she watched him from a distance, while they were unaware.
[28 : 12] And We had caused him to refuse all wet-nurses at first, so his sister suggested, “Shall I direct you to a family
who will bring him up for you and take good care of him?”
[28 : 13] This is how We returned him to his mother so that her heart would be put at ease, and not grieve, and that she
would know that Allah’s promise is ˹always˺ true. But most people do not know.
