Do not throw away your old tablets. They can be used as control panels for home automation. In this video I show how I used my old iPad as a control center for Home Assistant running AppDaemon add-on. The iPad runs a kiosk application displaying local web pages hosted by AppDaemon. There is a little bit woodworking too. The iPad is placed into a cherry wood frame. The frame design is simple, but elegant: no screws needed to hold the device in the frame.
