A few weeks ago I got the Arrow 500 up and running, changing tools, the whole 9 yards. The first time the coolant pump kicked on I knew we had issues. BIG issues. The coolant had been sitting for almost a year with ZERO movement and no oxygen. This creates perfect conditions for a bacterial breeding ground and some very unpleasant looking and smelling coolant. Since this coolant will be used every time my spindle turns on I thought it a good idea to clean it up and replenish the tank with some fresh coolant straight from the bucket. This is a general overview of what refreshing a CNC coolant tank looks like.
