My strategy to learn a new skill is by copying others.
Personally I believe this strategy to be very beneficial when starting out, it's very useful to have a reference work and copy it either partly or fully. Having some rules to follow helps when starting out, otherwise it can be hard to start at all.

Of course I don't support plagiarism or professionals that make a living of copying others hard work.
But as a beginner, and if you are not making money off of it, I believe it is beneficial to copy and use good work as references. For reference, I picked up my very first camera in March 2020 and currently don't make money on anything I'm doing here on youtube. I am aware that I "find inspiration" in lots of other content creators work, but I also believe that my own style is growing every time.
My own style will be more and more distinguished as I transition from beginner to intermediate.
The goal is of course to have a fully unique style that I can call my own. But that may come years down the road.

I hope you enjoy.

Bonus points: Can you guess what youtuber I imitated with this setup? I quite liked it and learned a bit while setting it up. If you figure it out and write his initials in the chat I will give you a gold star. :D
