You probably never realised just how dark and disturbing Christopher Nolan's 2006 masterpiece The Prestige truly is.
I examine one of my all time favourite films and explain a little musing I had in my head from the very first time I watched it. Angier's use of cloning and doubles is somewhat disturbing in the first place - but once you begin to ask the question whether these 'clones' are actual people with their own sense of mortality... things start to become a whole lot darker...
I wrote several years ago an article on the The Prestige for a website I owned at the time. Unfortunately, I had to give the website up but that article about The Prestige stuck with me. So, I decided to adapt my own article into a video, explaining my perception and understanding of the film's nature of cloning and doubles.
I hope you enjoy.
