Batman Begins Movie Review. Batman Begins, starring Christian Bale is one of the best superhero movies ever made. It follows Bruce Wayne's journey to become the Batman we all know and love as he faces off against villains like Scarecrow and Ra's al Ghul in order to save Gotham City. While it's probably the most overlooked film in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy, nearly every aspect of the filmmaking is top notch, and it's impact on comic book movies can't be overstated. All that being said, it's not without its fair share of flaws. So, join me as I explain why Batman Begins is pretty great, with a few exceptions.
