Bending Physics and blazing trails. On August 18, 2023, the groundbreaking Rimac Nevera hypercar GT broke the official lap record for a production EV on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
Hailed as one of the most challenging circuits in the world, the 20.8 km-long Nordschleife is a daunting combination of narrow sections, blind corners, elevation changes, and high-speed straights, set within the picturesque Eifel mountains.

As well as its sheer length and complexity, the Nordschleife is famous for its roller coaster-like sections, with dramatic uphill and downhill stretches that not only affect the car’s aerodynamics but also the way it handles under braking and acceleration.

This is our year of breaking records. Designed and engineered as a comfortable hypercar GT, the Nevera has set more than twenty records in 2023. Previously it has shown dominance in acceleration and braking, as well as setting a new production car record at the Goodwood hillclimb. On our first visit to the Nürburgring, the Nevera broke yet another record - a new electric production car benchmark of 7:05.298.
