The way we dress has a profound impact on how we think about ourselves and how others perceive us, yet there remains a disconnect between what we stand for and how our clothes are made. The scale and emotional power of the fashion industry uniquely position it to create a more equitable society.
Christian Birky started a pony-powered, zero-emissions lawn service at age 10. Now 25, he continues to explore how the choices we make can create a better world. He studied prison policy at Princeton before founding Lazlo, which hires former inmates to manufacture sustainable menswear in Detroit.
