Learn how to cook steak with an easy to follow recipe where the steak is seared on the stove and finished in the oven.

RECIPE:

1 beef steak, at least 1-inch thick
2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon thyme
2 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoon butter (Softened)
3 crushed garlic cloves
2 teaspoons oil

1 -Take Steak out from refrigerator and any packaging and let sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.

2 - Rub each side of the Steak with oil to coat. Mix the salt and black pepper in a small bowl. Rub both sides of the Steak with the mixture.

3 - Mix the thyme, butter and crushed garlic using a fork in a small bowl.

4 - Add the Steak to a hot pan and sear for 2 minutes per side. Also, sear the edges for 2 minutes as well.

5 - Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Transfer the Steak to an oven tray and add the mixture of thyme, butter and crushed garlic to the Steak. Put the steak in the oven for about 10 mins, we are looking for medium -well done steak.

6 - Bring out the steak, cover it with foil and allow it to rest for 10 minutes before cutting into it.
