🎙About Today’s Guest:
Colette Pichon Battle, a Louisiana native, is a lawyer and climate justice advocate known for her work in the climate justice and Black liberation movements. As a 2019 Obama Fellow and recipient of awards such as the 2023 Heinz Award for the Environment and the 2022 Catalyst Award, Pichon Battle has dedicated over 17 years to advancing equitable climate resilience in the Gulf South. She co-founded Taproot Earth, building on her experience leading the Gulf Coast Center for Law & Policy, and is celebrated for using legal strategies to achieve environmental goals.
