The exact touch screen I used: (Link to follow)

I dropped my iPhone on the floor and it landed on the screen - smashing the glass an rendering the touch pad completely inoperable.

Not wanting to suffer the loss of important information and photos, I decided to replace the screen myself, using a cheap kit bought online.

If you've never done this yourself before, don't worry, it's not as hard as you might think and there are some really good videos here on YouTube with step-by-step model specific guides.

You broke it, you fix it! Have you ever repaired your phone? Let everyone know how it went in a comment.

Cheers!

This gas has no smell and can easily kill. (People die every year from carbon monoxide poisoning. Most go to sleep in an enclosed space with insufficient ventilation and then just never wake up.) You must ensure you have adequate ventilation and it is highly recommended that you use a CO detector if using an open flame in any enclosed space. Galvanised steel can also give off toxic fumes at high temperatures so beware of this if using galvanised steel components.
