The Appalachian High Route is an ~340 mile loop going over several of the highest peaks in the Appalachian Mountains. The trail starts at Burnsville, NC and overlaps the Black Mountain Crest Trail, Mountain to Sea Trail, Appalachian Trail, and then the Burnsville Connector.
This is the first video in my attempted thru hike of the trail. This video includes the Black Mountain Crest Trail and the Mountain to Sea Trail as I climb over Mount Mitchell... in the rain and sleet and fog... in winter.
