How to change the fuel filter on a Toyota Landcruiser 80 Series with 4.5L 6-cylinder petrol engine 1FZ-FE (model FZJ80, FZJ70 or FZJ105).
80 Series (FZJ80) – 1992 onwards
105 Series (FZJ105) – 1998 onwards
70 Series (FZJ70/FZJ73/FZJ75) – 1992 onwards
70 Series (FZJ78/FZJ79) – 1999 onwards

Toyota 23300-69045 fuel filter assembly (includes 4x new gaskets)
2x Toyota 90401-12097 fuel union (banjo) bolt
If fuel filter mounting bolts are required (x2) – Toyota 91621-B0816
If additional gaskets are required (x4) - Toyota 90430-12026 OR 90430-T0003 (substitute)

Tools used:
Jack
Jack stand
Metric socket set – 12, 17, 21 mm
Socket wrench with extensions to suit above socket
Torque wrench (15-109 lb-ft, 21-147 Nm)
Flathead screwdriver
Paper towels
Small plastic container (for spills)
Safety glasses and nitrile gloves (strongly recommended)

Optional tools (if slotting filter mounting hole):
Hacksaw
File
Paintbrush
Black paint (touch-up)
