3D animation of Blast Hole Drill Rig and Rotary Drill String Tools for mining operations and other drilling needs. Animation shows Sandvik rotary drill rig, DTH drill set-up, premium rotary drill bit and drilling action through rock and aggregate ejection via high-pressure air injection. Modeled and animated from reference photos in 3D Studio Max, composited and post-processed in Adobe After Effects and edited in Adobe Premiere Pro. This piece was competed in 2013 for Sandvik Corp. Rotary Drill String Tools marketing. Photographic reference was used but no other schematic or video reference was available and all models were hand built from photographic representation of real-world objects. Because of this some scale of objects is not 100% accurate.
