Today we're blind tasting a case of various spiced rums! Now I've tasted spiced rums in the past, but have avoided them for many years. They're not called for in classic cocktails, they remind me of my time in college, and I haven't had one I've really enjoyed - so there hasn't been a need to seek out a bottle. Until today, of course. I thought it'd be fun to taste a bunch of commercial brands to see which I like best, and we're going to do it blind to avoid any preconceptions I might have. Once we find a winner, we'll mix it into a drink and see how it goes. This should be fun! I hope.
