In anatomy and physiology, body planes are imaginary lines that run through the body in anatomical position. Planes create sections or slices of the body when a cut is made through that particular plane.
We discuss tricks to remember the sagittal, coronal, transverse, oblique, and longitudinal planes, as well as review the standard anatomical position.
