The Royal Aeronautical Society's Stewart Memorial Lecture 2023 was given by Group Captain Catherine Wilkinson, Assistant Head of Force Health and Consultant in Occupational Medicine RAF, on the aeromedical aspects of operating RPAS and determining medical fitness, with an overview of RPAS origins, its current utility in the RAF's operating model, and the opportunities for the future.

The RAeS Stewart Memorial Lecture was established in 1969 to honour the life and work of Air Vice Marshal W K Stewart CB CBE AFC BSc MB ChB MRCP, who joined the staff of the RAF Physiology Laboratory in 1940 and commanded the RAF Institute of Aviation Medicine (which the RAF Physiological Laboratory became) from 1947 until his death in 1967.
