As-Salamu Alaikum,

Many people in our community attended MAPS Family Night Friday Potluck. We shared food, socialized, and listened to Br. Ozcan Ilikhan, director of MAPS-NOW.

Br. Ozcan Ilikhan, data analysis and AI leader by profession, and nature enthusiast by passion decided to create positive stories about Muslim engagements in communities after 9-11. Since 2015, he's been able to organize an army of volunteers to clean parks, participate in the Adopt-A-Highway program supported by King County and Washington Trail Association, and help to donate benches to be placed in parks, throughout the greater Seattle area, on behalf of Muslim Association of Puget Sound.
