Jennifer welcomes Janie’s Life-Changing Baked Goods owner Janie Deegan from East Harlem, NY, who created a bakery known for its pie crust cookies. Just a few years ago, Janie was homeless and recovering from an addiction and after deciding to sell her baked goods in 2015, she opened a bakery. She decided to help others who may be struggling to find a job – just like she once was and implemented an open-door hiring policy.
