I actually like Lucid (LCID). I think that company is structured in a way that will generate strong support by Wall Street in the future. It was exciting to see them trade up 10% in their first day post merger. But the question is, can they actually beat the spac merger curse?

Pretty much every spac before them has struggled after the merger, especially the electric vehicle startups. It seems like they are currently toxic to institutional investors, the guys with big money that could move this company that's already worth tens of billions. Proterra (PTRA), Lion Electric (LEV), Arrival (ARVL) and countless others are in strong downtrend. Other "blockbuster" spacs like Sofi are also losing value every day.

So, it's possible that Lucid will be the exception but I would be cautious in the short term.. I'm interested in reopening a position on the company but I'm going to be patient and wait until we have more news on the industry and the supply shortages.
