This video is Part 1 of heavy duty machining a new hydraulic cylinder head for a CAT 651 Tractor Scraper apron cylinder. In this video we are machining the first side of a 140mm chunk of steel plate. We started with drilling out the centre hole then lots of interrupted cuts and chip breaking to turn down the outer diameter. We then machine a recess groove before boring out the centre hole and machining the internal rod wear ring groove.
