While hiking in the Swiss Alps I was able to observe Alpine Ibex in their demanding alpine habitat. In this video i will explain their amazing biology, adaptations and why the are known world-wide for their seemingly gravity-defying climbing ability. I will also explain why the almost became extinct with barely 50-100 surviving individuals to a complete come back and return to their original range across seven europe countries in a broad swath of the alps.
