In this American standard flush valve replacement video, I show you how to remove and replace a vintage American standard actuating unit. Originally made from heavy brass construction, the modern replacements are constructed of plastic.

My recommendation was to replace the entire toilet but there were some obstacles in the way and the customer stated a possible bathroom renovation in spring 2022. I located a replacement actuating unit and proceeded with yet another American standard flush valve replacement. Enjoy the video!

Regards & Happy Plumbing!
