Moazzam Begg was seized from his home in Pakistan in 2002 and spent the next three years in the custody of the US military where he was beaten and tortured at both Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan and at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. Kept without trial, and having never been charged with any wrongdoing, Begg was released in 2005 after pressure at home in the UK.
Here he recounts the tale of his arrest and subsequent torture at the hands of American troops to his release three years later.
