If I were to ask you how much money to the exact dollar do you need to save in order to retire, can you answer it? This video will explain an easy method to help you visualize exactly how you can achieve your goal.

Most people cannot understand huge numbers because they are not used to dealing with such magnitude. However, if they are able to shrink it down to a smaller amount it will be much easier.

The one way is to focus on your monthly cash flow.

There are two sides of the equation that you need to balance. Your expenses vs your income. You need to generate more income from your investment than your expenses. Once you are able to reach that point then you will effectively be able to retire.

Decreases expenses is the easiest and most immediate way to help solve this problem. However, there is a limit on how much you can go. Thus, after you are able to trim the excess spending one should focus more on the income side.

This method is powerful because you can just ask yourself before you buy something, will this generate me more money? If the answer is no, then it is easier to pass on it since you can compare how much money you could be generating if you had invested it.
