An evening of talks and story-telling about the Irish arts, crafts and trade skills in Dublin from the 1910s to the present day. Organised by designer and jeweller Breda Haugh from The Design Tower, there are two presentations from Trinity staff. Dr Billy Shortall presents on Dublin’s Arts and Crafts movement from the 1920s-1940s and Dr Ciarán O’Neill talks about the Hammond Lane Foundry and history of the Design Tower. The event was held in Unit18 (Trinity in the Community) to celebrate Irish Design Week in November 2023.
