Full at strip down service on a Worcester greenstar 28i junior. this service is recommended by Worcester every 5 years to clean the main heat exchanger. this is the same for all. Worcester boilers that have a heat cell.

The boiler should be serviced every year which entails draining. the boiler recharging the expansion vessel , lubricating the Schrader valve, removing and cleaning the automatic air vent, cleaning the filter, sump and condensed trap. also checking the negative fan pressure , combustion and adjusting the gas valve.

every 5th year or in a case where the negative fan pressure is too low, we remove the fan, the burner, the baffles, the fan bearing plate and clean the main heat exchanger by washing it with water.
The burner gasket is replaced and the electrodes are replaced. the fan bearing plate and the gas tube are also checked as these sometimes need replacing.
The quality of the water is checked to see if the heating system needs flushing and/ or inhibitor needs adding to the system.
a full service sheet is provided detailing all readings and details of work carried out.
