Have you ever loaded a permanent marker into your spindle to mark a part? This works great, but you better have a box of pens handy, as those tips wear out quickly, and are easily crushed.
In the latest Haas Tip-of-the-Day video, Mark demonstrates how to make your own spring-loaded pen adapter, so you’ll get perfect lines every time. You’ll be able to draw your cutting path on even the largest part, and check fixture clearances to make sure everything looks right before you start machining!
And if you stick around until the end of the video, you’ll see what Mark does for fun, when he’s not programming Haas machines.
