Jacques Cousteau was a prominent figure when I was a lad & therefore ripe for parody in one of the many super 8 films I made with my younger brother & schoolyard friends. This film "The Waterlogged World of Jacques Cousteau" was made for a school project & our teacher--seen briefly before the titles-- was a man of good humor who generously indulged my creative whims. Since I'm directing, you won't SEE me in this film, but you will hear my narration reconstructed from a now long-lost cassette tape, and yes, we managed to slip in a Star Wars reference.😊 Fun Fact: We filmed this aboard the old USS Requin submarine, then docked in Tampa, now part of the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh!
