The annual Canadian Tulip Festival is held in Ottawa every May at Commissioners Park, among over 300,000 tulips, since 1953.
Tulip Festival is a seasonal event that runs for 11 days and coincides with the blooming of the tulips in May. This year, the festival will run from May 12 – 22, 2023.

Tulips (Tulipa) are a genus of spring-blooming perennial herbaceous bulbiferous geophytes (having bulbs as storage organs). The flowers are usually large, showy and brightly coloured, generally red, pink, yellow, or white (usually in warm colours).

Tulip colours denotes:
Red Tulips (love & romance)
Pink Tulips (caring & good wishes)
White Tulips (purity, innocence, forgiveness and respect)
Purple Tulips (Royal & Rebirth)
Yellow Tulips (Brightness, Sunshine and the start of spring)
