My son, Zak, is a 12 year old heart transplant recipient in Houston, TX. He's a bright, sensitive kid who suffers from anxiety and PTSD because of all he's been through. When asked where he wanted to go for his 12th birthday dinner, he automatically chose Joes because he loves the steampots. You can imagine the squeeze to make his dinner work - we pay $1395 a month in transplant meds! The waiter, Austin, asked if he could do something special for him and I obviously agreed - I thought that would be fantastic!! Instead, Austin and Joes Crab Shack played a cruel trick - they offered free lunch if he found three cherries with his face... only to place NO cherries in his dessert. Zak was embarrassed and heart broken. Please help us stop this cruel practice of bullying children for fun.
