We take the brand new 2020 Aston Martin DBX luxury SUV on a first test drive, off-road, on a race track and on the public roads.

The Aston Martin DBX boasts 550hp, a 0-62mph time of 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 181 mph, it’s certainly no slouch. Does it compete against the likes of the Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga, Audi RSQ8, or the Porsche Cayenne Turbo?

The new DBX is available from £158,000 in the UK and it’s the first SUV from Aston Martin. With other manufacturers making a play in this sector and with a reasonable level of success, it was only a matter of time before we seen Aston Martin bring their variant to the table.

To find out, Paul puts the DBX through its paces around Silverstone’s Stow circuit circuit to see what it is made of, plus a little muddy off roading. That’s of course in addition to giving it a good old fashioned road test on our local roads.
