Court level with Dominic Thiem & Holger Rune 2023 in 4K 60FPS!

Here we see some inspiring hitting from Thiem & Rune as we see them practicing their groundstrokes, volleys & overheads as well as some serves and returns + a great change of direction drill (bowtie drill).

Runes forehand analysis:
I am a big fan of Runes forehand technique and think it's one of the most reliable and simple forehands in todays game.
Runes racket is always in the right place. No excessive movements, just a simple short backswing.

He prepares by simultaneously turning his shoulders and raising his racket head by flexing his wrist as soon as he notices the ball coming to his forehand. He doesn't raise his right hand or elbow up high during the preparation, instead he simply orients his arm from infront of him to beside him, ready to swing for his forehand.
Throughout the swing he keeps his racket and hitting arm on the right side of his body which ensures his racket is behind the trajectory of the ball at all times until the follow through.
This reduces the chances of error especially on fast incoming balls as he simply has to swing towards his target and upwards opposed to around his body then forwards and upwards if he were to prepare further behind his body.
