I testified before a committee to highlight the crucial role of small businesses in America's economy. As the chairman of O'Shares and O'Leary Ventures, I see firsthand their importance as job creators.

Small businesses, often family-owned and employing 5-500 people, are vital, contributing 60% of job creation. Yet, they face challenges like rising interest rates and tightening loans from regional banks, coupled with inaccessible federal programs, which are impeding their growth. I emphasized the need for targeted support, including a payroll protection program and fair benefits from government acts like the IRA, CHIPS & Science Act, and the Infrastructure Act.

My testimony underscores the urgent need for continuous advocacy and policy adjustments to support what I consider the backbone of the American economy – our small businesses.
