I say this is for very young artists because, even if you are an older person with no painting experience in the fine arts world, chances are you've held and used a paint brush before. Even if you are painting a fence, you know to keep the brush bristles flat and to pull the paint in smooth strokes. This video is probably best suited to homeschoolers or caregivers to young children.

In this video, I am showing you a simple trick that worked for me when explaining how to use a paint brush to my 8 year old. He is used to using markers and crayons and was moving the brush in a scribbling motion instead of in one fluid line. I told him to use the brush handle as a guide, like an arrow, and pull the paint in the same direction that the handle was pointing. This videos shows you what I mean by using the handle as a guide.
