Hyundai has unveiled the Seven concept, the latest member of the electric Ioniq sub-brand and it’s built on Hyundai’s Electric-Global Modular Platform.

It’s a pretty big SUV about the same size as the Palisade and the idea is to preview a production model set to go on sale in 2024.

Hyundai already has the super cool Ioniq 5 scheduled to go on sale this winter and they’re planning on stepping on the gas to expand the electric Ioniq lineup in the coming years.

The Seven concept has the same pixelated graphics mixed with large, smooth surfacing intersected by a few sharp strokes that we’ve seen in other Ioniq concepts. What’s really is that the Ioniq 5 concept looks almost identical to the production version, however I don’t think we’ll see a similar transition here for a number of reasons we’ll talk about in a minute.

As mentioned earlier the Seven concept rides on Hyundai’s dedicated E-GMP platform which is already in use in production cars such as the Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and Genesis GV60.

This is a long vehicle with a wheelbase measuring close to ten and a half feet and this is all thanks to the electric platform. Not having a regular engine and transmission means you can push the wheels out to the far corners of the car. Normally this looks a little strange in proportions but I think the Seven hides it pretty well.

Inside you have three rows of seating, with a fully customizable layout featuring swiveling lounge chairs and a sofa for the third row.
