Until my new music is ready for release later this year, I've decided to share some of my previous work a few times each week. Today's selection is "Darkest Night."

I wrote Darkest Night (2016) as part of a score for a film called "The Heart of Man." I had about 8 weeks to write 75 minutes of music for the film - it was a difficult deadline because we had already booked a recording date with the orchestra in Slovakia before I started writing.

My friend James Everingham is one of the most talented composers of our generation. He assisted me in the production for Darkest Night. If this piece has a touch of Zimmer, it's for two reasons. First, because I love Hans' music. But second because James works with Hans producing scores here in LA. James is a master at arrangement, production and sound design. He's also tall and likes cheese and synthesizers as much as I do.
