Inflating a Presta valve using an adapter allows you to use your Schrader pump or a compressor at the petrol station.
In this video, I'll cover everything you need to know to inflate your Presta valve-equipped bicycle tire using a Presta to Schrader valve adapter. Here's a quick overview of the steps you'll learn:

Tools Required:

Hand pump, track pump, or air compressor.
Presta to Schrader valve adapter.
Pliers.
Inflating Presta Valve Using an Adapter:

Valve Inspection: Examine the Presta valve. If it's at an angle within the rim, consider straightening it. Check out our video tutorial linked below for guidance on this.

Remove Dust Cap: If there's a dust cap on the valve, remove it.

Unscrew Brass Washer: Loosen the brass washer. If it's difficult to turn, pliers can be used for assistance.

Release Brass Washer: Gently press down on the brass washer to release it. It might be stuck, particularly if not used in a while.

Attach Valve Adapter: Screw on the Presta to Schrader valve adapter.

Connect Pump Head: Push the pump head connector onto the valve as far as it can go; this ensures correct air flow into the tube.

Secure Pump Adapter: If your pump has a lever, move it to secure the pump adapter onto the valve.

Begin Inflation: Start pumping until you achieve the desired tire pressure.

Release Lever and Remove Pump: Once satisfied with the tire pressure, release the lever on the pump and carefully remove the pump from the adapter.

Unscrew the Adapter: Remove the adapter from the Presta valve.

Close the Valve: Ensure the valve is closed.

Refit Dust Cap: Replace the dust cap on the valve.

Alternatively, you can choose to screw the adapter back onto the valve for future use. In this case, consider adding a Schrader valve dust cap to the adapter for protection.

Note: If you keep the adapter on the Presta valve, remember that the Presta valve brass nut is closed, so you can't add air to the inner tube directly by attaching the pump to the adapter. Follow these steps for correct inflation:

Remove Dust Cap from the Adapter.
Remove the Adapter from the Valve.
Unscrew the Brass Washer, and then reattach the adapter.
Connect the Pump.
