Aaaargh! Has Tim been replaced with an AI Bot? Is he now sitting on a tropical beach, sipping a pina colada, while clever software presents the toys? No - Tim is irreplaceable. No Bot could possibly compete! Welcome to Tim's first video of 2024 ...

Tim starts the New Year with some more unusual pens from his never ending collection. George and I have been filming Tim's toys for well over 20 years now, but Tim still manages to keep producing items we have never seen before.

Cigarette lips? No, a novelty desktop toy which is actually a biro.

A frog that twitches and makes a little 'ribbit' sound when you slide the button to make the nib appear.

A little box at the top of the pen - a tv maybe? - and every time you push it down to make the nib appear, the picture changes. Or should that be the channel changes?

This pen has a sand timer floating in liquid at one end. Very peculiar.

A mini lottery at the end of this pen. Give it a shake and the 40 numbers balls get shaken up, and six end up sliding into the tube, and those are your six winning numbers!

This pen has a tulip at the top that has a bug sitting on the flower. Press the bug, and the nib appears!

A fish pen, with beautiful artwork on the side, with lovely glittery scales.

Push the button and all the internal gears whizz around. And the nib appears as well, of course.

A chip off the old block? This pencil is embedded in a small branch.

A neat pen from MOMA with a clever, gravity operated mechanism inside. Point the writing end of the pen downwards, and the nib appears, locked into place. Turn the pen the other way up, and the nib retracts.

Finally, a pen that Tim bought just the other day. At the top, it has a small version of the 'Lollipopter' - see https://www.grand-illusions.com/lolli...
