This Ming Dynasty village was ordered abandoned by the government in 1980...and left to crumble. Recent plans call for restoring its many ruined houses. Some restoration IS going on...but the majority of the village is still really old and original. Many of the houses even had old furniture and other articles left behind. There are slogans of Mao painted on various walls throughout.
