It is HOT in North Texas and homeowners are starting to see not only cracks in their yards but many are seeing the dirt pull away from the edge of the house. We promise the concrete isn't moving it is the SOIL. Soil in North Texas has a high clay content. Therefore when it is hot and dry the soil shrinks, when it rains the soil expands. Best thing you can do now is setup soaker hoses and properly begin watering the foundation of your home. We DO NOT recommend adding dirt or putting a hose in the cracks. These tactics and cause other issues. If you have any questions, drop them in the comments.
