In Islam, Invocation (duʿāʾ) (Arabic: اَلدُّعَاءُ‎ ] is a prayer of supplication or request. Muslims regard this as a profound act of worship. Muhammad [peace be upon him] is reported to have said, "Dua is the very essence of worship."
